About Us
National Investment Trust Ltd is a leading investment company in Mauritius, recognised for its disciplined portfolio management and steadfast commitment to creating sustainable, long-term value for both retail and institutional investors.
Incorporated in the Republic of Mauritius on 18 March 1993 and publicly listed on the Stock Exchange of Mauritius, NIT’s core mandate is to strategically allocate capital across equities and securities in both domestic and international markets.
The Company’s proprietary portfolio comprises of two key strategic investments:
- A 12% equity interest in SICOM Ltd, a leading provider of insurance and financial services in Mauritius, and
- An allocation to the LIM Opportunitistic Fund , which focuses on high-yield and distressed assets across the Asia-Pacific region.
Our Structure
National Investment Trust Ltd serves as the CIS Manager and is responsible for the management of the NIT Unit Trust and its investment activities.
The NIT Unit Trust operates within a clear and well-established framework designed to protect investors and ensure effective oversight.
Independent supervision is provided by SBM Fund Services Ltd in its role as Trustee, while SBM Bank (Mauritius) Ltd acts as Custodian, ensuring the secure holding of all assets. Through the NIT Unit Trust, investors gain access to a range of investment solutions, including the NIT Local Equity Fund, the NIT Global Opportunities Fund, and the NIT Global Bond Fund.
